N Brass Key Imports Union Pacific UP 3985 4-6-6-4 Challenger Steam & Tender MINT

Description: · Gorgeous, factory painted brass, Union Pacific (UP) 4-6-6-4 Challenger steam engine and tender. The engine number is #3985. It is black with a silver boiler front and white striping and lettering. A very sharp looking engine.· This Ready-To-Run engine appears to be MINT and does not look to have been run (other than my bench testing) on the track. · In looking this piece over closely, I could not find any issues with either the locomotive or the tender.· Made in Japan.· Imported by Key Imports.· Beautiful detailing on this engine and tender including backhead detail, lights (non-operating), whistle, bell, steps, ladders, railings, pipping and more. · It does not look like couplers have ever been installed on this piece.· Bench tested, the engine appears to run both forward and back but could probably use some lubrication prior to using. · Three small, sealed parts packages are included. One contains small screws, springs, a Rapido coupler and other small parts. A second contains a package of brake shoes for the locomotive. The third is a sealed package of coal for the tender.· Also included is a Key Imports information page describing the history of the large 4-6-6-4 Challengers of the Union Pacific. · The original box with original foam is in excellent, slightly shopworn condition.
