Description: Nice example of the late World War II through Korean War period USMC wool blanket. This example bears the property mark of J. F. Moska in white paint. Sgt. John F. Mosca of Rome, New York enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1946 and served for several years in the 2nd Marine Division. What is interesting about this is that he took a section of another blanket and had sewn it onto one end - thereby lengthening it. The blanket remains in good condition, showing signs of age, use, and wear. Minor insect damage is evident in areas, as well as general fading and soiling from actual use. Odor from storage is evident. Please see the pictures for more detail. Guaranteed 100% authentic in every respect for life.
