Description: For the Baseball Hobbyist. . . An Original 1913 BASEBALL MAGAZINE Player Poster **NAP RUCKER, Brooklyn Superbas | M113 Trimmed to Approximately 8" by 15+" The Original BASEBALL MAGAZINE issued nearly 1,000 different player and team posters starting in 1910 and continuing through the publication's lengthy near-60-year run. Collectors have assigned the American Card Catalog (ACC) number M113* to the earliest (and largest) ones with M114* ID'ing the bulk of the printing. Offered here is an original M113! It has been trimmed from its issue size (ACC states 10" by 17" while other sources report as large as 10-1/2" by 20") to its present size - approximately 8" by 15+". This fine display piece will be shipped flat with cardboard reinforcement and insured through USPS. If multiple M113's are purchased at the same time, one shipping charge will cover all. *M113 posters were issued 1910-1917 while Baseball Magazine produced M114's from 1918 until 1958. ** George Napoleon Rucker was a great pitcher whose 134-134 lifetime record earned exclusively for the Brooklyn Nationals belies Nap's true value. You see, in Rucker's first 7 seasons Brooklyn finished no better than 6th or lower than 7th place. Yet, Nap won at a much greater rate than his ballclub. For those 7 seasons Brooklyn's winning percentage was .374 (308 wins against 514 losses) while Napoleon Rucker's was a princely .485 - .111 better. Modern statisticians have a relatively new statistic called Wins Above Replacement or WAR. For his brief career, Rucker's WAR stands at 47.5 - 117th on the all-time list. Rucker ranks ahead of such pitchers as: Burleigh Grimes, Addie Joss, Jack Morris, Herb Pennock, Dizzy Dean, Lefty Gomez, Chief Bender, Jack Chesbro, Goose Gossage, Bob Lemon, Catfish Hunter and Jesse Haines - every one a member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame! Condition: Technically "Poor" due to being trimmed but still quite presentable - check the high-resolution scans, front and back _______________________ Important: Shipping Information Our goal has always been to keep shipping costs low. Our primary objective is to sell cards and other things of interest to baseball hobbyists - not make money by overcharging on shipping. If you ever believe you are being overcharged on shipping, please email us and we will double-check the facts of the matter. Thank you! U.S. residents: We combine multiple items purchased so you pay only the shipping on the heaviest item - all other items ship free of charge. (An exception would be if an item must be sent via media/book rate.) All Other Countries: Email us first. Many listings indicate shipment to U.S. or U.S. & Canada only, but we actually ship worldwide. To receive your combined shipping, please wait for us to send you a combined invoice. The eBay checkout system usually displays an incorrect shipping charge. (It is normally too high.) Please do not pay for each item separately; if you pay separately, there is no shipping discount. We pack your order carefully - sandwiching cards between cardboard and utilizing boxes, bubble wrap, etc., as necessary - to ensure your items arrive in the condition you expect. Items are shipped the next business day. We ship 5 - usually 6 - days each week. Payment should be made within 7 days after invoice has been received.
