Description: Eleven 8" x 6" original, official, naval air station photo lab, photos of N.A.S. San Diego in mid 1918 to 1919. This shows the beginning period of construction of the new station. Original U.S. NAVAL AIR STATION SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA photo stamps are on the back eight of these photos. These original photos are exceedingly rare. Two of these photos, the officer head shot photo and the photo identifying naval vessels in San Diego Harbor were taken in 1923-1924. A war service certificate for service at Naval Station San Diego, and discharge papers for Claud Morris, AS rating, are also a part of this collection. This certificate from N.A.S. San Diego is also rare.
