Description: A true piece of history, all 12 issues from 86 years ago, in 1938!Given the incredible age of these, one would not expect them to be in Mint Condition, and they are not, but even so, they overall are surprisingly nice for being almost nine decades years old.Condition Details: All issues have foxing on the covers, but surprisingly little foxing on the pages. All front and back covers are present. Surprisingly, the full color photos are rich in color and boldness.- Jan: Tape at the top and bottom of the spine. The spine is beginning to pull away from the interior pages at the top and bottom, but most is still attached. 2 tears less than an inch from the front cover's right edge appears as does a crease in the lower right-hand corner.- Feb: Overall nice issue with a little extra foxing and a small stain in the upper-left hand corner of the front cover that is minor and does not bleed through.- Mar: A name is written in pencil on the cover and extra foxing is present. The back cover has a tear that measures about 3 inches, but the complete back cover is all present, not missing a torn piece.- Apr: A small top yellow paper tear from the bottom inch of the spine is present and that part of the spine is pulling away from the interior pages. Still, the majority of the interior is well attached.- May: One of the better issues here. - Jun: Same as May.- Jul: A tad more foxing than May and June, but otherwise good.- Aug: Tape on the spine and the top and bottom of the spine is pulling away from the interior pages. Still, the majority of the interior pages are still well attached to the spine on the cover.- Sep: A paper tear near the bottom of the spine and a small part of the front cover near the spine is missing, but not much at all, less than an inch. Extra foxing, but still nice issue other than the small tear.- Oct: One of the nicest issues here.- Nov: The bottom of the spine is pulling away from the interior pages about 2.5 inches, but the majority is still attached. Otherwise, not a bad issue.- Dec: Tape at the top and bottom of the spine. Still, nice issue. Our antiquarian National Geographic Store here offers you a growing collection of scarce issues that may be missing from your collection.Note: Please see the Seller's Notes about the condition above for more details. From a Smoke-Free Home.Shipping Note: As you may know, we cannot legally ship magazines via Media Mail (even though other sellers risk breaking the law for some odd reason).
