Description: 1959 Topps Nellie Fox. Excellent condition. Nellie Fox played 19 years in the majors. He played for the Philadelphia A’s from 1947 to 1949. He was on the Chicago White Sox from 1950 to 1963. From 1964 to 1965 he was on the Houston Astros. His career batting average was .288. He had 2663 hits in 2367 games. He was on the All-Star team 12 times. He never struck out more than 18 times in a season. He led the A. L. in hits four times and led in fielding percentage six times. He and Luis Aparicio made up one of the best double play combos in the majors for the White Sox. He was the American League MVP in 1959. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997. The color on the front and back is great. The card is off centered and the four corners are soft. The back has slightly faded. There is a very light crease on the bottom left front. The card is excellent considering its age. See the photos. The card will come in a sleeve and inside a top loader. It will be shipped in a standard eBay cardboard envelope.
