The padded collar and lace up design ensure a comfortable fit. Underfoot the 589 has a rubber outsole that meets or exceeds ASTM F2913-11 requirements for slip-resistance in oily and wet environments - keeping you covered indoors and outdoors. The 589 is also non-metallic and ASTM rated for secondary protection against electrical hazards. Inside an EVA foam insert provides exceptional shock absorption, reducing foot fatigue. A removable comfort insole rounds out the features of this shoe. Protective Toe--Impact testing determines the amount of protection to the toe under various foot pounds of force. Compression testing determines the amount of static pressure a steel/composite toe cap can withstand.
