Description: New CD DEATH ATLAS WITH Japan BONUS TRACK CATTLE DECAPITATION from Japan Description Description Going beyond death metal and grindcore, this latest work from Quatre Decapitation is a soundtrack to the extinction of humanity, entering an extreme zone of rage, despair, passion and violent impulses. Brutal music for brutal times. Since their formation in 1996, Cattle Decapitation have been using their ferocious sound, which they call "death metal progressive grind", to portray the destruction and disaster that humans bring to the world, such as environmental pollution, animal slaughter, the collapse of ecosystems, and global warming. This direction is also seen in this, the band's eighth full-length album. The approach of pursuing aggression from start to finish remains strong. The lead track, One Day Closer to the End of the World, was performed live on the band's North American tour in the summer of 2019, and the audience's heads almost fell off. On the other hand, the album's distinctive feature is that it emphasizes the overall quality of the album. It avoids being monotonous with its brutality, and the ups and downs of the story, such as the inclusion of narration, dramatically color the end of humanity. Death Atlas, in which the Earth is burned to the ground and all life is reset, is a large-scale song that lasts over nine minutes, and features a guest female vocal from Ricin's Laure Le Pourneneck. It is an epic tale of destruction that vocalist Travis Ryan boasts is the band's masterpiece. The band has strengthened its performance by welcoming Olivier Pinard of Cryptopsy as the new bassist and by officially joining the band with Bellisario DiMuzio, who was a touring member. Together with Josh Elmore's fierce guitar, they create a violent musical experience. Guests who resonate with the band's philosophy participate in this work. It's a big topic that John Fishman of Fish is in charge of narration in [The Unerasable Past] (he is a big fan of Cattle Decapitation), but the performances of Riccardo Conforti of Void of Silence and Dis Pater of Midnight Odyssey make this work even more intense. The cover artwork is by Wes Benscoter, who has worked on many extreme metal masterpieces such as Slayer, Vader, Kreator, and Nile, and is now an indispensable artist for Cattle Decapitation's work. The composition of Atlas, the Grim Reaper carrying the burning and smoking Earth on his back, perfectly visualizes the world of the album. The band photo in the CD booklet, showing all the members as burned corpses, is also shocking. Travis said: [Please be shocked to think about the future of yourself and your loved ones, and the pain that the next generation will suffer. Everyone only lives in the present and does not think about tomorrow. That is wrong. Tomorrow should not be a check for payment.] [Death Atlas] is a loud alarm bell for the human race heading for extinction. We cannot close our ears to this roar.
