Description: Description Gibson Montana / L-00 Standard VS Vintage Sunburst [Actual image/2024 model] [S/N:21204016] The latest model of the popular small-body Gibson acoustic L-00 Standard The first flat-top model was born in 1926 (L-0/L-1) from Gibson, a company that produces archtop guitars, banjos, mandolins, etc. The L-0 and L-1 were small-bodied without pickguards. Later, around 1931, the L-00 was born as a successor to the L-1. It was originally ebony colored, but then sunburst and natural were added to the lineup. And from this time on, Gibson's flat-top guitars came standard with pickguards. The popular small-body L-00 was added to the lineup as a core model in 2016, and this model is the latest model. Made in Montana, USA. The body is of course all solid wood, with Sitka spruce for the top and mahogany for the sides and back. Body binding has been applied to both the top and back since around 1937, and this model is also bound in the same way. The neck grip is not a vintage specification but has a slim taper, making it easy to hold. The pegs are Grover mini Rotomatic pegs. The bridge is rectangular, the nut and saddle are made of Tusq, and the nut is black. It's nice that the neck heel is equipped with a strap pin by default. The pickup is equipped with an L.R.BAGGS Element VTC, which allows volume/tone control at the edge of the sound hole. It has a unique low frequency compressor (LFC) built in, which produces a dynamic sound. The small body has a unique response and boxy feel.
