Description: Description Equipped with 9 modes based on legendary and rare machines! In 1978, the most versatile and influential distortion pedal was invented in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After playing, repairing and modifying every distortion pedal on the market, Scott Burnham and Steve Kiraly decided to develop a pedal that had never been seen before. They wanted something that was not in the mainstream MXR, DOD and even BOSS product lines at the time, so they set out to create a pedal that could produce sounds from overdrive to distortion and even fuzz. By 1979, Scott had completed the circuit in his basement workshop surrounded by RATs, and the history began. The PackRat is the ultimate tribute to the evolution of the RAT over 40 years and its impact on the sound of the guitar. Artists of all genres, including Nirvana, John Scofield, Pink Floyd, Metallica, REM, Eagles, Jeff Beck, and Radiohead, have used the iconic tones found inside this unassuming black box to create their sound. PackRat, like its multi-mode pedal series such as Muffuletta and Bonsai, uses a unique digital runway system to route 261 components through 40 individual switches. When you select one of nine modes based on legendary or valuable machines, the analog circuit components are perfectly reproduced, even down to the aging (component drift) of the components. ● OG: Based on the first RAT produced.
