Two lenses with cut edges are arranged with a "slot" of air between them. The slot edges of the lens are usually aligned with edges in the scene, such as a door frame. Aligning the cut edges of the glass with edges in the scene can hide the trick. Because our slot diopters are mounted in a geared rotating filter tray, the slots can be quickly aligned with appropriate elements in the scene and then locked in place with our Rota-Lock.
