Description: New from Oversteer Hobbies! This Losi Mini LMT Dual shock mounting kit is for the serious DIY'er that really wants a custom look. This kit was designed after Ryan Anderson himself asked if I could create a way to mount some eBay shocks he found to his Mini LMT and make them look more realistic. How could I say no! If you have access to a 3D printer that can run flexible 95A TPU I recommend downloading our file at Oversteer Hobbies instead, if anything breaks or I update it you can get the latest files. Otherwise this listing is for the physical 3D printed parts. Watch the video attached in the images of this listing to see how I convert the shocks from external to internal spring shocks to make them look like real Monster Jam shocks. You could leave off the fake piggybacks, and just run two of any shock if you wanted. Included: Upper and Lower shock mounts Fake piggyback cylinders Piggyback mounting couplers Needed: Aluminum shocks from ebay. I recommend the 66mm long version but you can use the 78mm, they make the ride hight taller. Realy light shock oil like 15wt. Might even want 10wt in just one of every two shocks but you can experiment I bought a kit that had many different sizes of small springs off of Ama#$on. I ended up using 0.4mm x 5mm x 20mm springs but you can experiment with the many different ride heights the different springs will give you. You can also run springs in just one of each dual shock: M2.5x25mm screws for mounting the shocks. Attach with stock hardware or use M2x10mm for a bit more thread engagement. T6 works best to get the stock screws out as the assemblers at the factory tend to strip them a little. TPU suspension limit straps: All REAL monster trucks use limit straps to keep the shocks from pulling apart during hard extensions and so should you! Made here in the USA from nearly indestructable TPU. These limit straps are superior to most limit straps in the fact that they absorb the shock of full extension but don't stretch enough to hit the end of shock travel. They easily hold more than 5lbs each which is more than twice the weight of the truck! Simple to install by removing each shock screw and replacing with an end of the limit strap in place.
