These proposals toured the city with the Salo summer tour 2010 and city dwellers had a chance to pick their favorite. The most popular choice was the designed called "Movement" by Anu Korhonen. This design influenced the design of this tie. According to the designer the starting point of the pattern was Salo's nature and its proximity to the sea. She also wanted to highlight the continuous growth and development of the city. The pattern started to evolve from the shape of a swan, a beautiful bird that moves in a way that brings the concept of change to mind.
