Description: For sale is a bundle of two pieces of New Martinsville/Viking silver overlay glass. There is an oval, bud vase measuring 3.25" tall and 6.5x4.75" oval. The second piece is a footed compote measuring 4.25" tall and the top is 6.5" in diameter. Both pieces are decorated with silver around the edges and with poppies from their Flowers of Flanders pattern. Both pieces are in good condition with no chips or cracks. New Martinsville was a West Virginia glass company that began in 1901; in 1944, they became Viking Glass.
