One boy in the foreground is torturing a cat with a stick The 4th Ward was one of the 22 aldermanic wards with representation in the New York City Board of Aldermen of New York City. It was made up of seven election districts and was bounded by Spruce, Ferry, Peck Slip, South, Catherine streets and Park Row.The print is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 11 x 15 inches (28 x 38 cm). The picture fills most of it, measuring about 9 x 13 inches, with a caption below it. The page is in excellent condition for its age. There is text/photos on the back of the print.
