Description: This listing is for the trap shown in the photos. Shipping only to any of the 50 U.S. states. This is an early trap. Based on the shape of the springs and other features, it dates to the late 1700s to early 1800s. Trap was most likely used to trap beaver, wolves or other large animals. This would be a nice trap to display with a collection of fur trade/mountain man era items. It is completely hand forged (hammered out by hand by a blacksmith.) No parts were made by machine. Trap is 27 1/2" long overall. Distance between jawposts is 10 1/2". The trap weighs right about 5 3/4 pounds. Trap is original and complete, except for no chain. No modern repairs, such as welding. I see no marks on the trap. The springs on this trap are on the weaker side, but still strong enough for display purposes. Surface of all parts is rusted, but not overly so. Keep in mind that this trap is over 200 years old. I didn't do any cleaning or oiling on this trap - will leave that up to you. I think it looks good as is. Ask questions or request more photos if needed. Returns accepted with full refund if you are not satisfied. (You would need to pay return shipping.) Sorry, no sales to Canada or anywhere other than 50 U.S. states. HAPPY COLLECTING! BX-#3-HF-FJB
