Description: For sale is a limited first edition of Shinhakken Hokusai to namichidori higachō, or Newly Discovered Secret Picture Book of Hokusai (新発見 北斎と浪千鳥秘画帖). Japanese language, printed in 1969 as a limited and numbered edition first print set of which this is number 13 of 800. Set comes complete with outer box with wood veneer decoration, orange cloth chemise (with purple silk ties), reproduction piece on purple silk (measures about 26" by 27"), and book itself (measures about 14" by 10.5"). Very good to near fine overall condition overall, some wear and discoloration present to spine material as well as some spotting to pages (sporadic, mostly to top half of pages). The silk is in very nice shape but does have creases from being stored within the box for some time as shown. Box has a little bit of wear present but is in overall nice shape. Some light wear/discoloration to orange chemise. Please review photos for the best sense of condition and let me know if you have any questions prior to purchase.
