Hideaki Takizawa plays his beautiful and sad life. The film includes The late Heian period (794-1185), when the Minamoto clan and the Heike clan fought for supremacy. Ushiwaka was born as the son of Minamoto no Yoshitomo, the leader of the Minamoto clan. After Yoshitomo's defeat and death, Ushiwaka was warmly welcomed by his enemy, Taira no Kiyomori, and looked up to Kiyomori as his father. Later, Ushiwaka was entrusted to Kuramadera Temple and given the name "Shanao. Yoshitsune learned that his half-brother Minamoto no Yoritomo had raised an army, and led his followers to Yoritomo. Yoshitsune was ordered to mourn the Heike clan, and through his eccentric war tactics, won a series of battles at Ichinotani, Yashima, and Dannoura. Finally, he drove the Heike to destruction. Yoshitsune fought for Yoritomo, but the rift between the compassionate Yoshitsune and the more reasonable Yoritomo gradually deepened. Yoshitsune, now hunted by Yoritomo, finally arrives in Hiraizumi, where he is to fight one last battle to establish a "new country" after all the hardships he has endured. ■Part I: The Birth of Yoshitsune Yoshitsune was born to a sergeant of the Minamoto clan, but spent his childhood under Kiyomori, the leader of the Heike clan, and inherited his romance more than any other.
