These tapered ends are then steamed and bent to form the loops. They are then laced and bound with leather. These stick ball sticks were made by E. Autaubo; Tribe: Kiowa. The ancient game of stick ball is the southern version of lacrosse. It remains a popular game among contemporary Native Americans in both Mississippi and Oklahoma, as well as other Southern Native American groups.
