Description: Up for sale is a Nintendo Famicom Disk System Console Disk Drive. Model HVC-025. A new belt has been installed, and the drive head has been calibrated. Loads games right away. This is an early model without the built in components that block the drive from writing disks. It also has the 7801 chip on the drive itself, so with the correct equipment this drive can write disks. I have tested this with my personal FDSstick and a PC. Be aware that while I was able to run every OEM game (including my “problem disks” I use to verify the calibration is good) the calibration is probably not 100% factory accurate, so only this drive will likely be able to read your written disks. The disk drive has some signs of use. This listing is for the disk drive and Ram Adapter only. No power supply is included, but six “C” batteries work great, as does an appropriate power supply.
