Description: Candy tangerine - 500ml canFENDER introduced the color Candy Tangerine for its guitars in 2002. It is often used by the FENDER Custom Shop for relic work. It was inspired by the candy colors of hot rods and custom cars. However, the Candy color family was an earlier concept, having been developed in the mid to late 1950s.Candy Tangerine is a translucent orange that creates a two-layer finish. It requires a metallic base coat such as GoldTop or Shoreline Gold, although silver such as Inca Silver or Silversparkle can also be used for a different effect.Colors for vintage-inspired guitarsAfter intensive work and detailed research by our laboratory and technical department, we have developed guitar paints that faithfully recreate the tones of vintage Fender and Gibson guitars for painting electric guitars. It is recommended to dilute the product with our solvent to adjust the viscosity. For a perfect application we have two types of solvents: the usual solvent is Solvent Medium (Art. No. 48138 / N540423104), but for more extreme environmental conditions of humidity and temperature we can use Solvent Retard (Art. No. 48139 / N540425104) to avoid blistering and efflorescence in the surface.The optimal application conditions are a temperature of 15 to 25 °C and a humidity of 50 to 70 %. The percentage of dilution depends on the painting equipment and its configuration, but it is recommended to use 10 to 20% solvent.
