Description: In the 1980's, EMD revived data cards but elected to make them in a larger format. They chose 8 1/2" X 11", a standard paper size for most of these. My guess is that a custom size like they used in the 1950's would have been very expensive. I do not know how many of these they made and honestly, I wasn't smart enough to collect every one of them back when they were being printed. Additionally, unless you had a need, the PR Department kept these under lock and key. My best guess is that they made between 30 - 40 different cards but I can only guess. From what I can gather, they started this larger format when EMD rolled out the SD60 model locomotive in the mid-1980's. I've been able to collect close to 40 of these so I can confirm that number. You'll note that most of these include the GM/EMD logo (the exception being the SD70ACe & SD70M-2). With EMD now being owned by Progress Rail, that logo has long since disappeared. The last photo shows what most of them look like on the backside. You will receive ALL 22 cards shown in the attached photos. I only have one set of these as these are spares from my collection.
