Description: HARDCOVER WITH DUST JACKET, BOTH IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE ODD THING ABOUT THIS ITEM IS THAT THE OWNER, ALFONSO OSSORIO SIGNED THE HALF TITLE PAGE AND DATED IT 1962, MAKING THAT PAGE MORE VALUABLE THAN THE BOOK (PHOTO 3). I HATE TO DAMAGE THE BOOK SO I AM KEEPING IT INTACT. THE NOVELS ARE "LOVE'S CROSS CURRENTS" AND "LESBIA BRANDON". THE BOOK INCLUDES A CRITICAL STUDY BY EDMUND WILSON. THE DUST JACKET IS COMPLETE WITH SOME SOILING, MINOR EDGE WEAR, AGE RELATED PAPER TONING AND GENERALLY A STRONG VERY GOOD PLUS OVERALL. THE ORIGINAL PRICE WAS CROSSED OUT WITH PENCIL AND A SALE PRICE WRITTEN BELOW BUT THAT WAS LATER ERASED. JACKET IS NOW IN A BRODART SLEEVE. THE BOOK IS ALSO VERY GOOD WITH AGE RELATED PAPER TONING, DARKER ON EDGES AND DARKER THAN TYPICAL FOR A BOOK OF THIS AGE. BOARDS HAVE SOME EDGE FADING. THE EXPOSED LONG PAGE EDGES SHOW SPOTTING FROM MOISTURE (PHOTO 10) AND, ON SEVERAL LEAVES THIS MOISTURE ENTERED THE BOOK MAYBE 1/8", IN A SEMI-CIRCULAR PATTERN (PHOTO 11). Alfonso Angel Yangco Ossorio was a Filipino American abstract expressionist artist who was born in Manila in 1916 to wealthy Filipino parents from the province of Negros Occidental. His heritage was Hispanic, Filipino, and Chinese. BOOK HAS NO OTHER WRITING, NO STAMPS, NO LABELS, NO TEARS, NO CREASES, NO VISIBLE SOILING AND NO CORNER BUMPS OR FOXING. BOOK BINDING IS TIGHT AND SQUARE.PLEASE USE ZOOM FUNCTION ON ALL PHOTOS AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. amity oh
