Description: Hello and thank you for viewing my listing. Today you are purchasing one rare end cut specimen of NWA 10222 Carbonaceous Chondrite CV3 Meteorite from Morocco. This is one of the most excellent CV3's I have had a pleasure of classifying. This meteorite has a moderate petrofabric, low metal, low weathering, a must have for your collection. Many of the low-Ca pyx phenocrysts in the chondrules exhibit polysynthetic twinning. There are some AOA's and some fluffy type A CAI's. Many chondrules have igneous rims around them. Very popular over the years and starting to get very low in my inventory, maybe 10 grams left! Excellent addition to your collection. THE 100 CLUB IS A NEW CATEGORY I HAVE MADE. IT HAS COME TO MY ATTENTION LAST YEAR THAT A LOT OF MY CLASSIFICATIONS, ESPECIALLY THE OLDER ONES FROM 2006 AND ON, WON'T EVER HIT 100 IN SPECIMENS MADE AVAILABLE. I WILL BE STARTING AT MY FIRST CLASSIFICATIONS AND GOING THROUGH THEM ONE BY ONE THIS YEAR AND FIGURING OUT HOW MANY WILL MAKE IT TO THE 100 CLUB AND HOW MANY WILL KEEP GOING BEYOND THAT. A LOT OF THIS DEPENDS ON THE ORIGINAL WEIGHT CLASSIFIED IN THE BEGINNING, MAKING THEM MUCH MORE RARE AND VERY LOW NUMBERS. SOME SPECIMENS WILL BARELY MAKE IT TO THE 100 CLUB. I HAD NO IDEA YEARS AGO THAT I WOULD DO THE TUCSON AND DENVER SHOWS FOR 10 YEARS AND THEN BIG UNIVERISITIES WOULD GOBBLE UP LARGE SPECIMENS MAKING MY WEIGHTS GO DOWN VERY FAST WITH SOME OF THESE CLASSIFICATIONS. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS SECTION, WHEN THEY ARE GONE, THEY ARE GONE. ALL SPECIMENS COA'S WILL BE MARKED 073 OF 100 ETC FROM HERE ON OUT ALSO. THE ORIGINAL CARDS WITHOUT THAT STATEMENT I WOULD ASSUME WILL BECOME MORE COLLECTIBLE. METEORITES ARE ALL ABOUT COLLECTIBILITY AND PROVENANCE AND I'M A RECORD KEEPING FOOL OF MY COLLECTION. I'VE CREATED A LIBRARY TO MY LEFT, LOL. CHEERS! DATA: THERE HAVE ONLY BEEN 69 SPECIMENS SOLD TO DATE OF NWA 10222. ALL SPECIMENS WILL BE MUCH SMALLER IN SIZE DUE TO THE WEIGHT LEFT AVAILABLE. I WILL RETIRE THIS NWA NUMBER ONCE IT HAS HIT NUMBER 100 IN THE BOOK. I STILL HAVE QUITE A FEW ORIGINAL COA'S AND I WILL REDISIGN A NEW CARD MENTIONING THE 100 SPECIMENS WAY OF DOING THINGS ONCE THOSE HAVE RUN OUT. THANK YOU. WAS THAT TOO MUCH TO DIGEST??? LOL. My catalog number is G604-0073 and weighs in at 0.93 grams and comes with my card of authenticity for provenance. Remember, provenance is a must when collecting meteorites. I have designed a COA for NWA 10222, as I do with all of my classifications. The specimen you see pictured is the exact specimen you will receive. Each card comes with catalog number, weight and my signature of authenticity. Thanks again for viewing. Cheers! Thanks again for viewing and my shipping is like this, the first is usually only $4.79 and .50 cents for each additional item, unless over 60 grams, then 1.00 per item. Everyone is given the opportunity to shop for two full weeks without ever exceeding 10.00 shipping, no matter how many you win or buy over the two-week period, even earth stones! Cheers and thanks again for stopping by.
