Description: This specimen is a 0.098 gram fragment of the famous lunar meteorite NWA 5000. It is a feldspathic breccia from the lunar highlands. Its brecciated nature attests to the impact mixing of different kinds of material at the lunar surface. It also comes with two certificates of authenticity (see attached picture), and the gem contained pictured. Pictures 1 and 2 were taken using a digital microscope with reflective cross polarized lighting (RXPL), and photo-stacking software.Note: This piece was recently posted for a short time and had 154 views and 8 watchers but removed a few days ago to take an additional high-quality photograph (photographs 1 & 2) now showing both sides (and not just the one side as previously posted). This was the request of several people.
