Description: Here is a kit to build an early road-rail vehicle never before available in O Scale-- the PRR Street Tractor. These railcars, some of the very first gasoline shunting engines developed, were constructed by the Pennsylvania Railroad's Juniata shops to operate on street railroad sections in cities such as Baltimore. This kit has been redesigned to use the abundantly available K-Line handcar and convert it into a realistic model of a unique railcar that saw almost half a century of service. I have included photos of an assembled car as well as a photo of the K-Line handcar's motor for your reference. Each kit consists of a body section, separately applied muffler, 2 3-rail type couplers and a pair of screws to secure them. Body parts are printed with high-quality UV cured resin for the smoothest finish while the couplers are made with durable ABS plastic for real layout usage. This kit also includes four 0.625" long #2-56 screws that can be used to mount the new body to the donor frame. You will have to cut and bend your own handrails (I recommend using 0.050" wire), but everything else is provided. Ken's Model Miniatures specializes in kits, scale models and custom parts for the hobbyist. All of my models are designed, fabricated and assembled right here in the United States. In addition to model train kits, I also have model cars and planes in multiple scales (including reproduction Tootsietoy, American Flyer and Marx parts), so take a look at my other items and see what I'm offering.
