The 2nd issue of 1984, it is dated October 30. This type or design was first issued in 1978. They were released with five dates until the letters "S. A." were removed from the bank title beginning with the May 13, 1983 issue. Then with this late 1984 issue they added the quill pen in an inkpot at the left, over what had previously been a watermark. Juana Inés de Asbaje y Ramírez de Santillana was a nun, self-taught scholar, poet and philosopher. She passed away in 1695. • Printed by the Banco de Mexico.
