Vol. 6 - Arithmetique Morale - Historie Naturelle des Animaux / Translates to: Moral Arithmatic - Natural History of Animals With 16 BEAUTIFULLY hand-colored plates (with tissue guards) of mammals. The plates are generally in good condition. There is light marginal foxing or soiling to some and minor dampstains in the margins - not affecting the images. Some of the tissue guards have foxing and small tears. Internally, it is firmly bound with some wear, browning and foxing to the pages. Several of the pages have creases in the corners. Overall the book itself is in Fair condition. Contemporary quarter calf over marble boards. The boards are rubbed & scuffed; corners worn and bumped. There is a "pink hue" to parts of the boards. The spine is lightly faded and with a small oval sticker removed. The edges are scuffed and there is a crack at the top edge of the front board. The spine is scuffed, particularly at the top and bottom edge. There is a green name plate pasted inside the front board by a previous owner, and there is some writing on some of the pages.
