Description: Item Description: This vintage sterling silver belt buckle is hallmarked with the W Woodards Indian Arts hallmark and also IHM S/S for Indian Hand Made Sterling Silver. Woodard opened his first shop in Tucson, AZ in the 1950s and later opened shops in Scottsdale, AZ, Santa Fe and Gallup NM. Some of the noted artists that worked for Woodard's include Navajo silversmiths Kee Joe Benally, Wilson Tsosie and Willie Yazzie, Sr. This buckle it measures 2" across by 1" tall. The silver loop at the back will fit a belt up to 3/4" wide. The buckle weighs 19.4 grams. It has a silver patina from age and would polish up beautifully if you wish. It's is in great vintage condition.
