Description: 2005 Dodge/ Mercedes engine block and head. Head has not been removed. This engine has a bad cylinder. When loosened the oil cap moves a good bit when one of the cylinders goes into compression meaning a cracked piston or piston/ cylinder galled. This engine may be good for rebuild. If you buy this engine and it is not suitable for rebuild then return it with the reason and pics/ect and I will refund your money except for all shipping. I installed this engine in my 2500 sprinter and tried to get it to run but failed to get it running I think the injectors need replacing and the glow plugs. When I noticed the blow by from one cylinder, I stopped and got a different engine as I did not want to rebuild this one. I opted for an engine out of a wreck because I’m not much on complete engine rebuilds. I do have another naked block that has one cylinder galled I’m pretty sure that it is rebuildable. Anyhow if you find something wrong with this block on disassembly, I can send the alternate block if you like( again you pay shipping). I used that alternate block in my van for quite a while so I know the condition of it pretty well. I put in $500 for shipping as a default hoping that I can truck ship to you for less that that.
