Evening Purse Czechoslovakiam Glass Beads on Silk c30s*** originally $38, now $20 *** An exciting evening or party purse with its original woven label ~ Made in Czechoslovakia. The bag is a perfect circle of luxurious, inky black silk faille covered with a spider web of black glass beads accented with glittering clear beads. The glass of the beads reflects the high standards held by Czech manufacturers of that time. The bag's handle is a rope of black beads twisted with a rope of glittering clear beads. Closure is a beaded flap folding over the top that snaps in place. The frame is wire and still sturdy and secure. Body has a 6" diameter with a handle 9" long, end to end. Both the exterior and the interior are clean and ready for use. The only repairs I can find is a small one to the handle, looking like part of a beaded thread length came loose and was re-twisted and secured in place on the handle, and a repair to the closure flap because it had become partially separated from the purse (flap itself is in lovely original condition). The bag was designed with a separation in the "web" of beading, for the insertion of the silk faille body into the finished web. There are a few stitches tacking it down here and there, which look original. This is a sparkling, sophisticated bag for the woman out on the town.
