Ribbon bar has the old style pin assembly on the back with the one straight pin that flips open and closed. New refers to the condition of the ribbon bar not the year it was made. It is a little darker in person and should match up well to the WWII Bronze Star medals that I have listed. . Type scan may be enlarged to show detail.
