Description: OPUNTIA ENGELMANNII- Nice fresh 6 to 9 inch clean cutting. Cut treated with Rootone root growth hormone to help with sure rooting. A native originally of the Sonora Desert of Arizona and Sonora, this cacti is often called "Prickly Pear" or "Beaver Tail". Very attractive flowers when blooming, Peach-Orange. Hardy and fairly easy to grow in most climates where it does not freeze often. This year we noted a pad on one of our plants that actually had both orange and yellow flowers at the same time! First time we have seen dual colors in this species! Photos here are the actual plants you will receive cutting from. We try to include a little extra, larger pad or extra pad, pick the best looking, largest, with fruits or buds when available- Not at all easy every time with weight and shipping costs going up regularly.
