Description: Original ca 1930s-1950s folk art oil painting of a Texas watermill and bluebonnets on the back of a stretched piece of oil cloth. Painting is not signed and measures approximately 13 x 17”. Found at a San Antonio, Texas, estate sale, so this may be an attempt to represent the Guenther Pioneer Flour Mill, however photos of all of their mills indicated they were made of wood, & this painting depicts the mill as a flat top stone structure. Interesting oil painting utilizing at- hand material (the back of oil cloth), folk art-type piece. Several thin places where light can be seen through the oil cloth, as well as a ¼” hole on the right center edge; see photos for details. NO LOCAL PICKUPS.
