Description: Original USGS topographical map of part of Wood County, Ohio, printed more than 100 years ago. It is identified as the 1903 edition of the Bowling Green quadrangle, compiled by the United States Geological Survey, Department of the Interior. The image area measures 44.5 x 33.4 cm [17½" x 13¼"], and the coverage area is bounded by longitude 83°30' W to 83°45' W and latitude 41°15' N to 41°30' N. The map is drawn on a scale of 1:62,500, with contour lines at 10-foot intervals. It locates roads, towns, railroads, canals, and natural features, as well as individual homes and farms. It locates the Toledo, Bowling Green & Southern Traction Railway, the Miami & Erie Canal, and the southern and eastern boundaries of the Twelve Mile Treaty Reservation. Other named places and features include the Maumee River, the Toledo & Ohio Central Railroad, Jerry City, Dowling, Sugar Ridge, Rudolph, Mungen, New Rochester, the Cincinnati, Hamilton & Dayton Railroad, Six Points, Wingston, Portage River, Scotch Ridge, Dunbridge, Tontogany, Digby, the Ohio Electric Railway, Hull Prairie, and a small piece of Lucas County.
