Description: RARE bold ink pen signature of CHICAGO CUBS star JERRY MARTIN on an autographed 3 1/2" X 5 color photo that was part of the selection process for the 1981 Donruss set. There were only TWO of each of these autographed photos EVER MADE. I gave ONE to each player and he signed ONE for me. There were a few times when the player didn't want the photo and signed BOTH for me. Autographed photo, original negative and card are all included in this sale and are in near mint condition with sharp corners and no creases, stains or ANY other damage. There are TWO sets of photos, card & negative in the scan but this sale is only for the set on TOP. I was a photographer for Donruss from 1981 through 1991. Just over 500 of the 600 photos in the 1981 Donruss set were taken by me at Wrigley Field, Comiskey Park and Milwaukee County Stadium. I met with the Vice President and Art Director of Donruss in the fall of 1980 and showed them my autographed photos. They selected over 500 of them to be used in the upcoming set. My negative number is on the back of each photo to enable me to go home and pull the envelope and the frame number and supply it to Donruss for the set. I was also a photographer for Pacific Trading Cards from 1993 through 2002. I then went back to Donruss in 2003 and then to Topps until I retired in 2010.
