Please read; This square painting of a lion on wood was done the morning of February 19th, 2024 while unknowingly at the time a very loved, empathetic, beautiful soul’s life was being taken due to the effects and reality of mental health, SUD and sex trafficking going on in the world around us. As shown in a photo, it was noticed where I scribble on the backs of paintings- when flipped over, you see a sort of angel shape, with a halo, pulling down something. “Heart like a lion, burning like fire- waiting just to be set free” was on repeat in my head while creating this. I want this painting to go to somebody who loves and appreciates the art itself more than any thing- and also cares just as much about mental health and caring for those around us and what this painting and Sarah stand for. I will put this hoping for a higher offer but I would like the buyer to help me choose a mental health or harm reduction non profit organization to donate a percentage of the proceeds to.
