Hand drawn in ink on white 280 gsm A2 size Bristol Board this signed and dated colour illustration is offered unframed. Muddy Waters' Fender Telecaster. In 1958 Muddy Waters purchased a brand new white Fender Telecaster with a maple neck. The neck was replaced with a wider version with rosewood fingerboard in 1961 while the body was later painted red and the control knobs were changed for those from a Fender amplifier. The original steel bridge was also substituted later for this brass one with six saddles. Nicknamed The Hoss, this was the guitar he would be mostly associated with as it became his main guitar for studio recordings and live performances through the remainder of his career, including his 1969 release, 'Fathers and Sons'. The illustration of this famous guitar is original and has been produced by George Morgan following extensive research.
