Description: This listing is for an Original Israeli Art For 1966 Pittsburgh “Another World” Pa Gallery Vtg MCM READ. This abstract piece is from the 1966 “Another World Gallery” showing of Israeli art in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. This piece showcases a blast of color and shape that entrances the eye. Over 20 different contemporary Israeli artists were brought together by one Miss Rachel Baum, then an undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh. I believe this work is a screen printing or some other kind of original graphic artwork. As shown in the photos of the newspaper that came with this and several other works of art, this gallery included some impressive names such as Moshe Bernstein, Miron Sima, Joseph Zaritsky, Jenny Maiselis, and many more. (Copies of the article are available free of charge along with your purchase if desired). This and one other work I will be listing are both signed by the same artist, and labeled “artists proof 1966”. Unfortunately the signature is in Hebrew, and I cannot translate it. I believe these two works (see other listing for second) are both by one of the artists from the show- possibly quite big names! The design is excellent for many rooms and a large variety of decor styles. It makes this an excellent staple piece for your collection, one your friends definitely wont have! A great collectors item, for use display gifting or decor. Comes from a very exclusive estate containing many fine works of art. The previous owner likely purchased these works while visiting the gallery in 1966- check back for my other two works from this same show I will be listing! It is in good condition, with no major damage. It has some wear from age & lack of framing- some tiny spattered spots that could be foxing or just color for the piece- see photos. No tears or major fading. It has a stain on the matting that does travel into the very bottom edge of the work, if it were matted and framed this could be concealed. Also likely could be restored.
