The collection, reproduced from the original works of ninety-seven artists in a smaller 11 x 15-inch format, was published by Jules Cheret, the father of poster art by subscription from Dec 1895 to Nov.1900. Each original contains an embossed stamp in the lower right corner. Subject: The gay Parisienne is stepping out in her oversized cape and hat, her walking stick prominently out in front, and her dress billowing in the breeze. This is Plate 96 of the series, Ellis, being English, there is also the mark of Waterlow & Sons, London.
