The artist Paolo Soleri (1919-2013), an Italian-born architect, urban designer, and philosopher.Born in 1919 in Turin, Italy, architect Paolo Soleri came to the US in 1947 to study under Frank Lloyd Wright. The wind chime features vibrant colors, organic textures, and design motifs that vary from piece to piece and are artist original. Each one is a truly unique. It complements both indoor and outdoor spaces with great tone that is individual to size and shapes. We purchased this bell from the neighborhood of Paolo's studio in Paradise Valley Arizona. We personally have owned his artwork (wind chimes) for many years and each has a unique beauty and clear sound. Size and shape control the lovely tones. My husband and I lived nearby and often went to watch Paolo create his wind chimes bells. It was a pleasure watching him at work and he was always gracious.
