Description: Wonderful Single Page Handwritten Letter on United Booking Offices Letterhead dated Oct. 1912, from B.S. Muckenfuss to a gentleman named Albrazar regarding Albrazar's interest in an Assistant position for Benjamin Muckenfuss. Mr. Muckenfuss responds that he is new in his position and doesn't have an opening at this time, but will inquire for him. Mr. Muckenfuss also mentions the 'Wells Circuit' which must have been Wells Theatres owned by Jake and Otto Wells with numerous locations mostly in the South during the time period. Final line of letter notes Baby Athoine who was Albrazar's daughter and child star during 1910's. They would tour the Vaudeville Circuit with Albrazar playing the piano. We researched Mr. Muckenfuss and found him - he was born in S. Carolina approx. 1862 and was working for a baseball organization in 1900 but by 1910 was in the theatre business. He passed in NY in 1926. Letter condition fair there is fading, folds and wear along edges including small tears. A great vintage theatre collectible that will ship fast and FREE!
