Many clients opt to add a battery function vs restoring the old works; we leave this to the discretion of buyer upon arrival.The wood longcase is restored, solid and stable. All scratches, cracks (see photos), dings, and age related separation (especially due to the curves and how this was crafted) are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty of this lovely Mora grandfather clock.
