Description: An original 1970 US Stereo pressing of Ornette Coleman - The Art Of The Improviser, released on the Atlantic Green/ Orange label, Catalogue No. SD 1572. This is an absolutely pristine archival copy as can be seen in the photos - this record is like new! Degritter cleaned, the vinyl is lustrous, very and looks unplayed. No marks apart from a hint of a shadowy mark on Side 2,but no scuffs or hairlines. The labels and spindle holes are similarly pristine. I have graded NM. Needless to say the audio quality is superb. Incredible stereo imaging with no playback issues - no jumping or sticking, the vinyl plays beautifully like a new record. The outer sleeve is incredible with the original shrink wrap still present. Better still, the DOBELLS price sticker with dual decimal/ £SD prices is on the back, either £2.99 or 59/11 in "old" money as 1970 was the year of decimalisation in the UK. A lovely detail which adds a real sense of time and place. The Atlantic printed inner sleeve promoting other albums of the day is present, however we have placed the record into a brand new poly lined inner sleeve to keep it pristine - you will receive both.
