US single-weight glossy proof sheet from the classic 1960's political thriller drama, ADVISE & CONSENT, released in 1962 by Columbia Pictures and directed by Otto Preminger. A Senate investigation into the President's newly-nominated Secretary of State gives light to a secret from the past, which may not only ruin the candidate, but the President's character as well. This vintage original proof sheet features four (4) different candid shots by photographer Al St. Hilaire that were taken during the making of this film and feature Charles Laughton in 3 of the 4 photos along with fellow cast member Peter Lawford. Ed Sullivan, who was visiting the set, is also featured in 3 of the 4 photos along with two unidentified men. On the verso is a large rubber stamp credit with the film's famous logo along with a second date stamp from OCT 25 1961. Printed on single-weight stock with a glossy finish, this vintage original proof sheet featuring 4 candid photographs in in fine+ condition with a light 4 in. diagonal crease on the bottom right corner (when the photo is in a horizontal position) and a 1 in. diagonal crease with signs of wear on the bottom left corner. Hollywood photographer Al St. Hilaire was the last assistant to Ruth Harriet Louise, one of the more important photographers from the Golden Age of Hollywood.
