Description: This is a laser cut primarily wood kit to build a highly detailed 1:48 scale model of a small mid 1800's - early 1900’s commercial 2 story Western wood structure. This is a flexible design that can be modeled as a shop, living space, hotel, etc. The building box portion is a scale 12' wide x 14' deep, making this a condensed, compact structure that can fit into a smaller area on a layout or diorama. The completed overall structure footprint with staircase is approximately 4.75" width x 5.25" depth.With a covered walkway/porch, external staircase, and several positionable windows and 2 doors, this is a great way to add a lot of interest in a small area. Features a removeable roof with finished interior that can be lit and furnished if desired. Features include: -Interior detail with removable roof.-Double sided doors with captive glass detail.-3D engraved siding.-Separate windows and doors that can be positioned in opened or closed configurations.-Built to exacting 1:48 fine scale, this is a great foreground quality model for model railroads, dioramas, etc.-Includes clear, fully illustrated instructions with finished model photos. PLEASE NOTE:This is an advanced level building kit and has many small parts. Assembly requires several basic modeling tools including knives, sandpaper, files, tape, and squares and weights for bracing and holding parts in alignment when gluing. Careful planning of assembly procedure is needed to get the best results. Although this kit is designed to be as approachable as possible while still retaining a high level of detail, bear in mind that this is still a craftsman kit and takes time and patience to put together.
