By HARVEY PROBBER. Stool / bench #929. Square solid wood frame with upholstered seat. Square legs with radiused interior quarter. Ebony finish. Steel glides. Unsigned. Circa 1960. USA. CONDITION: These stools exhibit typical use-related wear. With professional refinish to the frames and reupholstery these stools will look like new. I assume the stools were reupholstered at some point -- the cambric on bottom looks fairly modern. The upholstery exhibits typical use-related soiling and wear. Typical use-related wear to the frames: scattered rubs, scuffs, scratches, edge wear. See photos. I don't see anything problematic restoration-wise for a professional. Otherwise both stools are in good original condition with no damage and no significant wear. No restorations or touch ups. Used, not abused. The black finish appears to be original. No breaks, chips, cracks, bruises, separations, looseness. No chew marks. Generally clean as found. No pet, cigarette or other unpleasant odors. All glides are intact with no corrosion.
