Description: A pair of English Georgian silver gilt octagonal form plates with gadrooned borders and large engraved crests. The crests are those of Earl of Harwood (Lascelles family.) Hallmarked for London dated 1769 and made by Thomas Heming. The daughter of King George V, Mary Princess Royal married the Earl of Harwood and lived at Harwood House. Length 9 1/4"; total weight 43.85 troy oz. Very good condition. The crests have been masked for cleaning purposes. Consequently the gilding is bolder in that area. No damage. The engraving on the crests is crisp. Payment to be received within three days after the close of the auction. We ship to the US only.
