Description: This striking pair of aluminum skyscraper modernist lamps dates to the mid-1930’s. They have been restored and refurbished and are ready for contemporary use. They have been completely disassembled and aluminum parts machine polished. The original bulb sockets have been retained and bulb contacts cleaned and polished. Satin black base rings have been restored. The original cylinder shades had been damaged and so replaced with new frosted acrylic shades adorned with satin enamel speed rings. Wiring has been refurbished with new old stock fabric covered cord and appointed with new vintage style plugs. These lamps accept standard medium Edison base light bulbs. Frosted tube style bulbs are suggested for best effect. While the shade rests are vented for heat, LED bulbs are strongly recommended since the shades are acrylic. I suggest maximum 25Watt incandescent, 100Watt equivalent LED.
