Description: Pair of Brass Bound Two-Fold Boxwood Rules - Stanley #15 & L.C. Stephens #4 1/2 This is a Lot of 2 vintage 24" Brass Bound Two Fold Carpenter Rules. Top one is an L.C. STEPHENS & CO. - U.S. STANDARD No. 4 1/2 boxwood and brass bound two fold rule with square joint. I rate this ruler in FAIR CONDITION overall. It has both alignment pins and folds up nice and tight. The boxwood has wear from use over the years and some staining and an early repair where one leg was cracked (see pictures). Bottom one is a STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO. - NEW BRITAIN, CONN. No. 15 boxwood and brass bound two fold rule with arch joint and Gunter's Slide. I rate this ruler in GOOD - CONDITION overall. It is missing both alignment pins and folds up with a bit of a gap. The boxwood has some staining. The brass Gunter's slide works fine. Most of the numbers and markings can be read. An interesting pair of vintage two-fold rules that were made in the state of Connecticut for you to add to your antique measuring tool collection!
